China University of Geosciences（CUG）, founded in 1952，is one of “211”project universities affiliated to the China Ministry of Education, and also is the research center and talent training base for Earth Sciences, Resources and Environment in China. It has developed a complete and optimized multidisciplinary system centered on Earth Sciences, including science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, pedagogy, and philosophy. The University has an integrated training system of undergraduate, masters, and doctoral, and post-doctorate education. CUG has a set of national and provincial level key laboratories and engineering centers. The faculty members of CUG total about 1300, including 9 Members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 7 members of the Russian Academy of Sciences and 19 externally employed members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. CUG has complete teaching facilities, advanced research equipment, well-stocked library and museum collections, convenient transport links and a beautiful campus. It is one of China’s national key comprehensive universities. At present, its academic institutions include 19 faculties, offering altogether 62 undergraduate programs, 106 master programs, 37 doctoral programs and 13 post-doctoral research centers. Now its registered full-time students total 24, 000, including about 6000 graduate students and 800 international students.
