China Today Class One (taught in Chinese)

Description of the course:

This course, taught in Chinese, is designed to improve students’ Chinese language proficiency, impart an understanding of Chinese society and culture and motivate students’ interest. The course introduces topics such as Chinese geography, culture, history, international relations and development of the nation. Students will find they are inspired, challenged and provided with cultural facts throughout the leaning process. Students who can choose this course are required to have learned Chinese for at least one year.

Tourism Culture and Intangible Cultural Heritage in China

Geography and Geology of China

Description of the course:

This course, taught in Chinese and English, mainly introduces the unique geographical and geological phenomena all over China. By visiting most of the renowned mountains and great rivers in China and all kinds of geographical and geological heritages, students will acquire large academic vocabulary through extensive reading, lectures and classroom activities. This course is the perfect combination of the three courses: "Natural Geography", "Physical Geology", and “Cultural Tourism”.

Chinese Writing Course (Elementary Level)

Description of the course:

This course is designed for students, who have learned Chinese for at least half a year, in order to nurture their basic writing ability in Chinese. This class is to train students’ comprehensive ability to use the Chinese characters, vocabulary, and grammar knowledge. It teaches students how to write a self-introduction, a note for leave or short message as well as how to write essays according to drawings. E-mail, post card and diary are also included.
