To All International Students,
In order to implement the requirements of the school's "100-Day Campaign" for investigating and rectifying fire hazards in winter and spring, ensure the safety of your lives and property, and create a safe dormitory environment, the following fire safety requirements for dormitories are hereby reminded. Please strictly abide by them:
I. Standardize Electricity Use and Eliminate Hazards
1. It is strictly prohibited to pull wires randomly, connect power strips in series, or overload the circuit; do not use damaged wires or power strips, and never place power strips under quilts or clothes.
2. It is strictly prohibited to use "instant water heaters", electric blankets, high-power illegal electrical appliances to prevent fires caused by circuit short circuits.
3. Unplug chargers of electronic devices in a timely manner after use and keep them away from flammable items such as quilts and books; always ensure "lights off and power cut off when leaving the dormitory".
II. Prohibit Open Flames and Keep Away from Flammables
1. Smoking is completely prohibited in dormitories and public areas of the apartment, and the use of open flames such as candles and mosquito-repellent incense is strictly forbidden.
2. Do not store or use flammable and explosive items such as alcohol and gasoline in dormitories.
3. Keep an eye on the cooking process at all times when using the public kitchen to prevent oil pan fires or gas leaks; turn off the power and gas valves immediately after use.
III. Protect Fire-Fighting Facilities and Keep Passageways Unblocked
1. Protect fire-fighting facilities such as fire extinguishers and fire hydrants; do not move, damage or block them.
2. Do not pile up debris in corridors, evacuation passages or safety exits to ensure unblocked escape routes.
IV. Master Emergency Skills and Handle Dangerous Situations Timely
1. Familiarize yourself with the location of fire-fighting facilities and escape routes in your building, and master the use of fire extinguishers.
2. Stay calm in case of fire, give priority to evacuation and escape, and do not covet property; stay close to the ground and cover your mouth and nose with a wet towel when passing through thick smoke, and taking elevators is strictly prohibited.
3. In case of fire, immediately call the fire alarm number 119 and report to the apartment manager or the Student Affairs Office of the College of International Education at the same time (Contact Number: 87515872).
V. Clarify Responsibilities and Build a Safe Campus Together
During the school's "100-Day Campaign", regular inspections of fire hazards will be carried out. Violations will be ordered to be rectified within a time limit; those who refuse to rectify or violate regulations repeatedly will be severely dealt with in accordance with relevant rules, and those who commit serious violations will have their accommodation qualifications revoked; those who violate the law will be transferred to relevant departments for disposal.
Please firmly establish the concept of "Fire Safety is Everyone's Responsibility", take the initiative to check for potential safety hazards around you, and promptly dissuade and report violations to jointly build a solid fire safety defense line on campus.
Reminded hereby.
