2019/2020 Silk Road Program

（1）Applicants must complete CSC online application in advance. The deadline for online application is April 1, 2019, and deadline for receiving paper application materials is also April 1.

(2) The applicants must fill in the information in CSC website correctly and the attachment must be uploaded completely. The information on CSC application form needs to be correct and complete. Since the admissions office will contact the applicants, applicants must ensure that the contact address and email address is accurate. (Admissions office will use the permanent address to send Admission Notice and e-mail, make sure that the information is accurate. If the applicant cannot be contacted or the notice cannot be delivered due to the wrong email address, all consequences shall be borne by the applicant).

(3) Please refer to http://iec.cug.edu.cn/ for the detailed application requirement and information. If the there’s any further question, you can contact the admission office by e-mail via overseas@cug.edu.cn and the subject should be 2019 CSC scholarship application.

(4) After you send the application materials, there is no need to contact by phone or email to inquire whether the materials have been received or not. The admissions office will arrange the received application materials on a regularly and download the student application materials from the CSC website. The applicants must make sure that the mailing materials and CSC online application materials are complete. Incomplete materials will be considered invalid application.

(5) The length of major study for bachelor degree is 4 years. All the majors are taught in Chinese. Students who apply for Silk Road program but have not obtained HSK Level 4 or above need to add a one-year Chinese refresher course at a designated university prior to enrollment. After the preparatory study, students shall pass the HSK4 test firstly and then start their major study. Applicants should apply according to the majors list. If the majors that the applicants choose are not offered by our university, the corresponding applications will be deemed as invalid.

(6) The foreigner physical examination form in the application materials must be within six months

(7) The diploma and transcript in the application materials must be notarized (in Chinese or English). Full transcript of each semester of high school must be provided One of the two letters of recommendation should come from the teacher of the high school and the recommender’s signature and email needs to be provided in order for verification.

(8) All applicants should read the Program Guide carefully. According to the regulation of CSC, once been admitted, Silk Road Program students cannot change the university.

(9) All application materials are subject to rigorous examination by CUG. If any cheating or fraud is found, the qualification for applying for Chinese Government Scholarship will be cancelled immediately and permanently.
