China University of Geosciences (CUG, Wuhan) ,Founded in 1952, is a national comprehensive university with multiple disciplines with geology, geological resources，environmental studies and geological engineering technology as the main features and the coordinate developments of sciences，engineering，liberal arts，management, economics，law, education and philosophy．CUG (Wuhan) is adjacent to the national high-tech development zone and China Optical Valley, with scenic East Lake by its side. The school covers an area of 1,102,003 square meters with a building area of 757,217 square meters. At present, its academic institutions include 20 faculties, offering altogether 64 undergraduate programs, 106 master programs, 37 doctoral programs and 13 post-doctoral research centers. Now its registered full-time students total 25,000, including about 6000 graduate students and 1000 international students.

Note:
1. TheDegree Programs will be taught in Chinese in principle, so the students are required to take one-year remedial Chinese language course and pass the examinations prior to the major study if their Chinese language level is not qualified. If students take one-year Chinese language course, the duration of the scholarship will be extended for one year.
2. Some Degree Programs can be taught in English according to the major’s study schedule.Applicants with sufficient knowledge of English for academic purposes are preferred, which can be proved by the certificates such as TOEFL, GRE, IELTS or other officially recognized language certificate.
3. Duration for scholarship specified at the time of admission can NOT be extended in principle.
